for details.
We discontinued to sell IF/Prolog Dec 31. 2003.
For current customers, we continue to provide
professional support for IF/Prolog until Dec 31, 2008.
The IF Computer group of companies supports IF/Prolog
for more than 600 types of workstations and mainframes by about
70 manufacturers.
Software configuration and other details depend on the target
machine on which it runs. Prices cover a wide range from small
notebooks to parallel fault tolerant servers.
Customers may be eligible for volume, academic and other discounts.
Other factors must be
considered for preparing documents to customers, for example
maintenance conditions and various technical aspects.
In order to make the sales and marketing activities more efficient,
IF Computer has deployed its Customer Support Center (CSC) to
support customer interaction.
CSC integrates files on machines and those on addresses of potential
customers. It also feeds information regarding the person in charge at
IF Computer, currency of the payment etc which are entered through
buttons. Then an offer is completed with full description. CSC also
works for making other documents for customers, such as price lists,
and list of machines on which IF/Prolog runs.
CSC employs backward chaining of Prolog. The knowledge base written
in IF/Prolog is written in easy-to-read spreadsheet style but with
long expressive names.
As a result, the knowledge base is also used as manual for sales
representatives at IF Computer.
CSC is daily used in IF Computer.
