widgetクラスがC述語のパラメータでなければならない場合、Prologのクラス名からtoolkitクラスポインタへの変換がなされます。これは、Cにより次のように呼び出すことにより行なわれます。
WidgetClass IFXtPCCvtWidgetClass (value, counter) TERM value; unsigned int **counter;
この関数は、widgetクラスとポインタをIFXtclasses[]のIFXtshellclasses[]表なかのカウンタ変数に戻します
