Memory requirements

IF/Prolog by Siemens
MINERVA superseeded IF/Prolog. Please see http://www.ifcomputer.co.jp/MINERVA for details.

We discontinued to sell IF/Prolog Dec 31. 2003. Dedicated technical support for IF/Prolog ended Dec 31 2008. This site is maintained as a community service only.

IF/Prolog requires in the installation directory disk space as is indicated in the following table. These are average disk space requirements. The exact amount of space needed depends on the machine, operating system and library technology used. If you require exact figures then please run tar tvf < device > where < device > stands for the standard (rewind) device entry for the device you use.

	IF/Prolog Development System 5 Mbyte
	IF/Prolog Constraints Package 0.5 & Mbyte
	IF/Prolog Informix Interface 0.2 Mbyte
	IF/Prolog OSF/Motif Interface 4 Mbyte

The dynamic memory requirements of IF/Prolog depend on the size of applications, though a minimum of 4 Mbyte for the development system is recommended. When using the IF/Prolog OSF/Motif Interface memory size should be at least 8 Mbyte.
