To get started with MINERVA, look at the sections Overview and ExamplePrograms.
Next install MINERVA in a machine you know well and have easy access to. Read, compile, run and re-read the example programs on your machine as applets, as standalones.
Once you are through a few Examples you may want to look over the manual section to see how things are organized and documented.
