| The special interest group on Intelligent CAD of the
Japanese Society of Precision Engineers, headed by
Prof Isao Nagasawa of Kyushu Institute of Technology,
invited IF Computer to give a three-hour lecture on
current steps in Knowledge Engineering and a
technical overview of MINERVA.
The event is part of an applied research effort
aiming at the integration of knowledge based systems,
computer aided design, and electronic data interchange.
The industrial members of the group have several Prolog
based solutions fielded, including applications in
construction, medical care, and optoelectronics.
